Synopsis: Lung cancer, due to the late diagnosis, remains the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. The accumulation of DNA mutation, in particular activation of oncogenes and silencing of tumor suppressor genes is a hallmark of malignancy. At the cellular and extracellular level DNA mutations manifest themselves in altered proteins composition and structure, which in turn can be detected by biocalorimetry of blood serum proteins
