Title: Fluctuating Euler characteristics in lamellar and microemulsion phases
Abstract: Various processes such as membrane fusion, collapse of giant vesicles, of membranes, clustering, spinodal decomposition in mixtures and transitions in solutions of lipids and surfactants are all by changes in the topology of a system. Recently the Euler characteristic has been applied for direct monitoring of these changes.
