Title: Periodic surfaces of simple and complex topology: Comparison of scattering patterns
Abstract: We compute scattering patterns for six triply periodic minimal surfaces in oil/surfactant/water solutions: Three surfaces of a simple Schwarz P (Im (3) over barm), Schwarz D-diamond (Pn (3) over and Schoen G-gyroid (Ia (3) over bard), and three surfaces of a topology, SCN1 (Im (3) over barm), CD (Pn (3) over barm), and (Ia (3) over bard). We show that in the case of the complex scattering intensity is shifted towards the higher hkl This might cause their misidentification and wrong estimates about the cell size of the structure.
