Katarzyna Wybrańska

Katarzyna Wybranska is a physical chemist, with post doc position at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. She gained her phD degree in Chemistry in 2010 from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her main scientific interests is nanotechnology. She creates new nanomaterials and analyzes their aplicability. From 2007 to 2011 she was running her own consulting company. During that period the most important project she completed was a comissioned research on the impact of the cotton clothing production on the natural environment. At present dr Wybranska is developing her own invention and exploring ways of it’s commercialisation. Her invention is based on antibacterial nanocoating which is non toxic for human cells and therefore may be applied to many different products - mainly in medical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, clothing and packaging industries.
